Introduction
IOSH Managing Safely is a course for managers and supervisors in any sector and any organisation. It’s designed to give managers all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their teams. The flexible new high impact programme covers all the main health and safety issues, and includes a session tackling the environment too.
The training takes on an active practical approach to health and safety, driven by risk management. It is based on providing the underpinning knowledge using step by step guidance with a business focus that enables managers and supervisors to review their own departmental systems for health and safety, introduce new controls or implement changes as appropriate.

Suitability
This course has been designed to meet the needs of managers / supervisors who are required to manage efficiently and effectively in compliance with both the organisation's safety policy and health and safety legislation.
Assessment
A short test paper , plus a work based assignment comprising three full risk assessments to be submitted by arrangement.
Successful candidates will receive a Managing Safely Certificate awarded by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
